Life By You: Faces Another Delay
Paradox Interactive has pushed back the release of its highly anticipated game, Life By You, to June 4th for early access on Steam and Epic Games Store. This game marks the debut project of Paradox’s Tectonic studio, led by ex-Sims boss and Second Life CEO Rod Humble. Revealed last March, Life By You promises an innovative gameplay experience allowing players to create and control digital humans in a fully open-world setting without loading screens, featuring realistic conversations, customizable elements, and a more realistic art style compared to Sims 4.
Initially set for a September launch, Life By You’s release was first delayed to March 5th this year to enhance UI, visuals, and overall game experience. Despite these efforts, Paradox announced another postponement to ensure the game is as polished and enjoyable as possible for its early access phase, aiming for a solid foundation for future development.
The delay is accompanied by a detailed FAQ outlining ongoing improvements in various areas such as bug fixes, performance, character art, animation smoothness, and gameplay refinements. Paradox has also paused all pre-orders, offering refunds and deciding to make two pre-order-exclusive packs, the Life Begins and Nightlife Vibes Packs, available to all early access players as compensation for the delay.
